The Waning Light Inn has been in Amanda Callaman’s family for generations, as have her vineyards, from which she makes wines famous for their quality.

Defenders come to Ros, seeking to establish their regime of hatred against the Touched, and Amanda tries to ignore the warnings. When she can do so no longer, she finds a way to protect herself and her lands.
